Epic SuperCar Power With Environmental Responsibility

Can you have supercar power and still be fuel efficient? Ask me a few years prior and I would have said absolutely not… but now?
To be honest, I wasn’t truly interested in finding the answer at first but after I did the work to find out, I’m kind of glad I did. With a fully charged MacBook at my disposal, I started my research quest. Knowing this list could get outrageously large, I figured I would limit the line up to ten cars that I personally would have in my own garage. With many hours logged in scouring the net, I came up with roster that anyone would kill to have in their own garage:
1. Porsche 911 GT3 RS :: 15 mpg city / 22 mpg highway :: 415 hp / 299 ft-lbs

2. Corvette ZR1 :: 14 mpg city / 20 mpg highway :: 638 hp / 604 ft-lbs.

3. Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 :: 12 mpg city / 20 mpg highway :: 553 hp / 398 ft-lbs.

4. Audi R8 V10 :: 12 mpg city / 20 mpg highway :: 525 hp / 391 ft-lbs.

5. Spyker C8 :: 13 mpg city / 18 mpg highway :: 400 hp / 354 ft-lbs.

6. Alfa Romeo 8C :: 12 mpg city / 17 mpg highway :: 444 hp / 354 ft-lbs.

7. Mercedes SLR McLaren :: 12 mpg city / 16 mpg highway :: 617 hp / 575 ft-lbs.

8. Aston Martin DBS :: 11 mpg city / 17 mpg highway :: 510 hp / 420 ft-lbs.

9. Ferrari 430 Scuderia :: 11 mpg city / 16 mpg highway :: 503 hp / 347 ft-lbs.

10. Bugatti Veyron :: 8 mpg city / 14 mpg highway :: 1001 hp / 922 ft-lbs.

Pretty surprising, huh? I’ll be the first to admit, MPG would be the last thing I would ever look at when it comes to a high horsepower car. The one that stood out to me the most? The Corvette ZR1, mainly because I would never have guessed it could go past 10 mpg. Kudos to the boys in Detroit for making a fuel efficient monster that boasts being the second most powerful car and being the second most fuel efficient on this list!
